"The Louise Edwards School of Dance" was set-up in September 2008 by Louise and Peter Edwards and started just holding Commercial Jazz and Hip Hop classes on a Saturday. Since then the school has grown and now holds classes in a variety of different dance styles, as well as offering students the chance to obtain dance exams under prestigious exam boards.

The school offers a high standard of training for all ages allowing students to gain qualifications through the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) exam board for Modern and Tap, and through the RAD (Royal Academy of Dancing) for Ballet. Both these societies are globally recognised and can also be studied further in many professional dance colleges. The school holds a 100% pass rate in all three dance genres, including prestigious Vocational grades, with most student's achieving Grade A's and above.

Our aim is to ensure that student's are given the opportunity to learn a strong foundation with artistic performance quality in any dance style, therefore allowing the student to reach their full potential. This gives students the foundations to build in confidence, something that they can take with them for the rest of their lives, whether they wish to pursue a career in dance or not

Pupils have successfully auditioned for various dance colleges such as Urdang Dance Academy, London Studio Centre and Bodyworks Performing Arts College. Pupils from all ages have also been successful when auditioning to perform with the English Youth Ballet Company.

Students appear in Swansea's own Grand Theatre in many annual and visiting productions, for example the school has been personally selected to appear in many Stan Stennett productions and selected to perform in Swansea's City Centre.

We hope that you enjoy your time at our school as we find we cater for every need for your child to enjoy the benefits of learning dance.
