Louise Edwards
DDE (ISTD), AIDTA, Mutually Recognised Member of the RAD, Diploma in Dance (Distinction), Zumba (Zin Member) .
Dance Principal
Louise Edwards has been teaching for many years under the guidance of Wendy Weaver and Andrea Jones.Â
Louise Edwards trained at the 'Grand Theatre School of Dance and took part in many productions and annual pantomimes, gained many major examinations, danced with 'National Youth Ballet' and trained as a Junior Associated of the Royal Ballet. At 16 she was awarded scholarships to Laine Theatre Arts, London Studio Centre and Arts Educational School Tring Park.
Louise Edwards studied at 'Arts Education School Tring Park' and gained her teaching qualifications with ISTD, National Certificate in Ballet and National Diploma in Dance graduating highest in her year. Whilst at Arts Educational Tring Park she was dance captain for many performances and regularly covered to teach classes. After graduating Louise Edwards was lucky enough to gain her first professional job with Christopher Biggin's and his pantomime company.
Louise Edwards has recently passed her teaching qualifications gaining 94% in her teaching exam with the ISTD and hopes to continue to further her qualifications with the ISTD in the future. Louise Edwards is keen to ensure that student's enjoy dance but can also achieve qualifications to show each students progression, and make sure student's have a good knowledge on technique to prevent injury. Louise has also gained recent qualification as a Zumba teacher.
Louise would like to thank her family, especially her husband, for all their support over the years! The Bristol College of Dancing for their continuing support and development, Wendy Weaver and Andrea Jones for their training and on-going support and the Grand Theatre for being able to give her this amazing opportunity.
